As heavy snows turn Fall to Winter, a pair of bull elk engage in antler wrestling to settle a dispute. When antlerless, Elk fight with their hooves, but this actually inflicts more injury. As bulls spend the Winter together, retaining antlers all Winter means fewer injuries and good defense against predators. The larger the antler rack, the longer the rack is retained, so these enormous bulls are at the apex of their social structure with preferential access to the best feeding grounds and in the Fall, females.

All Goeddel Gallery’s fine art wildlife photography is signed and numbered. For added provenance, each includes a matching signed and numbered archival quality certificate of authenticity. We mail the certificate separately, white gloves included for proper handling.

Framing Options
Lumachrome acrylic prints are created specifically for impressive display with no external frame. Hidden on the back of the print, is a floating frame with a French cleat, allowing the piece stand off of the surface on which it is displayed.
However, if a more traditional look is desired, we also offer a striking 3 1/4” handmade natural wood frame from Roma Moulding in three colors – Charcoal Black, Cloud White, and Cocoa. When a frame is selected, a 3” liner is also included in white or black. The drop-down menus above will show how your art looks with or without framing.

Our limited edition acrylic prints ship in 4-6 weeks, and shipping is free within the lower 48 United States. Shipping charges to destinations outside the Lower 48 United States do apply and will be calculated when ordering.
