Four wolves from a hunting band of the Wapiti Pack in Yellowstone National Park’s Hayden Valley take a short break from feeding on a bison kill after a successful hunt. Yellowstone is one of the best places in the world to watch, hear and photograph wolves. These packs and animals are carefully tracked and have rich stories to rival any human epic. The white wolf in the middle is a third-generation white alpha female. Both her grandmother and mother were white alpha females of their packs. An alpha male forced out of his pack to the north eventually found his way to the female you see here, and they started the Wapiti Pack with two successful litters. That male has since been forced out by younger males, but while still alive, he was known to sneak in to visit his pups.

The image you have selected, and all our fine art photography, is sold in limited editions of only 50 acrylic prints. Several sizes are available for each, but we will never create more than 50 total reproductions.
Certified Authenticity
All Goeddel Gallery’s fine art wildlife photography is signed and numbered. For added provenance, each includes a matching signed and numbered archival quality certificate of authenticity. We mail the certificate separately, white gloves included for proper handling.

Framing Options
Lumachrome acrylic prints are created specifically for impressive display with no external frame. Hidden on the back of the print, is a floating frame with a French cleat, allowing the piece stand off of the surface on which it is displayed.
However, if a more traditional look is desired, we also offer a striking 3 1/4” handmade natural wood frame from Roma Moulding in three colors – Charcoal Black, Cloud White, and Cocoa. When a frame is selected, a 3” liner is also included in white or black. The drop-down menus above will show how your art looks with or without framing.

Shipping
Our limited edition acrylic prints ship in 4-6 weeks, and shipping is free within the lower 48 United States. Shipping charges to destinations outside the Lower 48 United States do apply and will be calculated when ordering.
