In the heat of Summer, a well-fed American Bison cow relaxes in the shade of a Douglas Fir amid Nurse Rocks in Yellowstone National Park. There is an area in the Lamar Valley where most of Douglas Firs grow against very large boulders. Called “erratics” these granite boulders were carried many miles before being left behind by glaciers. Locals fondly call them “Nurse Rocks” for the care and shelter they provide growing trees by creating a micro-climate that protects seeds, retains water, and promotes grass and root growth.

All Goeddel Gallery’s fine art wildlife photography is signed and numbered. For added provenance, each includes a matching signed and numbered archival quality certificate of authenticity. We mail the certificate separately, white gloves included for proper handling.

Framing Options
Lumachrome acrylic prints are created specifically for impressive display with no external frame. Hidden on the back of the print, is a floating frame with a French cleat, allowing the piece stand off of the surface on which it is displayed.
However, if a more traditional look is desired, we also offer a striking 3 1/4” handmade natural wood frame from Roma Moulding in three colors – Charcoal Black, Cloud White, and Cocoa. When a frame is selected, a 3” liner is also included in white or black. The drop-down menus above will show how your art looks with or without framing.

Our limited edition acrylic prints ship in 4-6 weeks, and shipping is free within the lower 48 United States. Shipping charges to destinations outside the Lower 48 United States do apply and will be calculated when ordering.
